Lol, I can just see it; "could you please review and sign off on this worksheet?" which then pops up right there on your center screen o_O

I can only recall one thing he said that didn't materialize... Apple Watch as proximity key for gen1.

You've just triggered my PTSD.
The Rivian App just showed up on my Apple Watch last week. It definitely unlocks doors, I don't know if it will let me drive.

It does. As long as the app is running. But for gen1, no proximity. It’s a partial proxy of your phone key.

I don't get it; doesn't Google Maps already have these alerts? Does the Rivian version of Google Maps not have crowd-sourced info/alerts? I was told by the salesman that it does.

Ha!! I plan on leaving the Friday before Thanksgiving and coming back the day after Thanksgiving. Actually traveling to Boulder area. This way I can avoid the worst of the holiday traffic. I'll have to flex my departures if it's actively snowing in the Rockies as I-70 can close or require chains (from what I hear) and I only have 21 all-season tires.

Having Waze in the native nav would be perfect for this drive (about 1000 miles). Unfortunately I plan on using Tesla superchargers as they are the best price (with subscription) and also trying out the couple of Ionna chargers en-route. Researching my options now to be prepared!
I’ve been caught in one of those blizzards and stuck in Silver Spur for hours before a small opening allowed me to follow a snow plow down to Denver. Terrifying to be sure. That’s a summer road trip for me from now on. Best of luck. Be safe.

Waze was one of the reasons why I used CarPlay. I just hope we’re able to receive alerts without actively navigating to a destination. I open my iPhone now while driving and launch Waze just to receive the alerts.
The Google maps in GM vehicles have had this feature for over two years. There are two requirements, must be logged into your Google account, and must be navigating. It works the same way on phones.

I noticed this too and set up my watch as a key for my Gen 1. Have only done a test so far. Left phone and key in the house and then started and backed R1T out of the garage and back in with just the watch.
