What’s the largest tire the R2 currently fits and what does this lift kit increase it to?
33. Can't go larger due to clearance issues with the strut tower spring perch, which this does nothing to address.

We will post pics next week installed on our truck....just getting started!
working on it....this is our 18" wheel (only on front in this photo), see the perfect poke :like: just enough to look good, but wont rub. And this is a + width tire. I just went full send figure-8 donuts in our parking lot....ZERO rub/contact. Perfection!

We also have spacers, for those who want to stick with stock wheels. And we're testing + tires now.
....and the lift. Lots to come! took all of like 2 seconds to rip the stock wheels off and start testing!
I added 4x spacers soon after the Sienna got lifted, wheels looked even more egregiously 'sunken' right after lift - 15mm front, 20mm rear. Also increased sidewall from 55 to 60 to fill the well a bit more. Didn't lift the XC90 but did put 15mm spacers on rear, also to resolve a slight 'sunken' appearance.

R2 wheels didn't strike me as 'sunken' but I'll have a closer look next time at the store.

If your not going to use the R2 for road trips the lift kit idea is cool.
I fully expect even just 1.6" to reduce range for my road trips - will do it to raise the roof and seat height a bit (H-point/hip point), tall family.

It seems like many reviews are from people 6'+. How tall is your family if you need it higher. Is your home furniture supper tall?

I’m 6’3” with permanently pissed off lower back. Wife 5’11”. Boys 6’4” and 6’2” (so far); older sister 5’9” but usually away for school.

Did the kitchen some years ago, used the higher of two counter-height standards. And that’s all I know about it, not my lane (no pun).

This didn't really answer his question. Is the R2 on the sales page lifted with your kit or was the image altered?

If the pic is altered, why weren't any pics posted of the donor car used to test the kit?

If no testing was done, is it standard practice to develop and offer such a kit with no real-world test fitting/driving/etc?

Lastly, we're approaching two weeks since you said you'd share pics of the kit installed on your vehicle. I've seen the pics/videos of the new wheel and tires but nothing regarding the lift kit. Are those posted somewhere else? If so, please provide a link.

Thanks

Hi Brou, I went on vacation to Monterey Car week - sorry, took a few days off. I will be back at it soon and post pics and more details. My team has a long list of priorities and projects on the R2 - all those things have priorities and interdependencies well beyond what needs to be shared. Rest assure, all our products are proper and well done :like:.

I see you joined the forum on Wednesday and this is your first ever post. Welcome, please share with us - do you have an R2? First Rivian? If you have a pre-order on our lift kit, please share it and I will call you personally to go over any details you like.

Is the car pictured in the OP lifted with your kit or is it an altered image?

Has the kit been installed on any R2?

I am not really clear what/why we're chasing? but yes the (all our) parts are real, installed, properly developed and tested. We have some other confidential parts on "our R2" at the moment and I am not ready to show those, so I being careful what we're showing / photos at the moment - there are reasons for what we have / have not shown.

And by the way, you didn't answer - do you have an R2? One on order? Did you order our lift kit? You're brand new to the forum....you are sniffing like a competitor trying to throw shade.... :like:

I'm not a competitor. But, since you mention it, do you have competitors for R2 lift kits? I wasn't aware of any.

Anyway, I've been reading this forum for months and finally decided to post because you've been avoiding answering some pretty simple questions about a product I'm potentially interested in. I thought maybe I'd have better luck if I simplified the questions, but alas, you still refuse to answer the most basic questions asked.

Is the R2 pictured lifted with your kit? Has your kit been installed on any R2s? If it has, do you have pictures of those vehicles with the kit installed that you can share?

I don't know how much simpler I can make it. Your reluctance to answer, deflection, and paranoia are giving intriguing vibes. Having to defend myself against accusations because I asked a few basic questions...this is just such an odd way for a business to communicate with the public about a product they're offering.

I thought I made that clear, yes lift is installed on my R2 right now and we've installed it on other R2s during development process. I have some other things going on with my R2 right now so I cant just go snap more pictures at the moment. There is zero paranoia, deflection, etc.

No idea what competitors are doing, but they've attempted to copy most of our products over the years so i assume nothing will be different for R2.

Thank you! Much improved stance.

By any chance did you all get before and after mi/kWh numbers with the stock wheel/tire setup?

*edit: Just noticed the screen, interesting...

Yep, that's the real-world image that I've been looking for - 1.6" lift looks just about right.

Now I'm curious to compare 255/60 vs. 275/55, but this is good start...
