Just got my 2025 R1S tri updated with the Qi2 charger today from mobile service. The tech had to do a software update which was a bit odd since it pulled down the update like a major update but it's the same version number (2026.15.30 4ef2e413) but I guess it updated some underlying bits. Price was $172.75 for the part and $227.09 total after tax and labor

You have a gen2, which has the keycard receiver. The update is probably to update to the appropriate overall software build config, to avoid unintended consequences from future updates. Each OTA for each gen has different builds.

Received mine on Monday. Haven't had time to install it, but I have no doubt it will work just like factory original equipment that it is. Package was carefully packed and the harness adapter well-made.

@breeves002 - you mention on your order site that this may cause AM radio interfdrench, but Rivians only have FM? Did you notice this with a 3rd party AM radio near the car? Or meant FM instead of AM?

I don't think he made a mistake. And yes, the R1 only has terrestrial FM receiver (on a chip). I think this disclaimer is only meant to be a general CYA disclaimer, in case anyone use a AM device in their cars (like CBs).

Yeah general disclaimer. Im embarrassed to say this but I had no idea the Rivian didn’t have AM but I haven’t used AM radio in a decade so not surprised I didn’t find out. Ford’s wireless chargers will adapt if using AM radio to reduce interference so I thought it was possible Rivians would too. Obviously that’s a non-issue!
