When will V2L adapter pictured at R2 events be available for purchase?

It looks like they had a 20A V2L adapter at some of the early R2 events. Wondering if anyone knows when this adapter will be available to purchase?

I understand the load is greatly limited and it's not true V2H, but I have a use case for it without having to open the trunk or back window.

I spoke with an engineer that is on the V2L team it at my test drive and he said their offerings are about a year out. I didn't get into the weeds if he was talking this adapter, or a true V2H product.

Interesting…does the Launch edition have 110 outlets inside?

I remember seeing it in prototypes.

Likely V2H not V2L. They’ve been showing the V2L adapters and advertise them.

The Rivian V2L Field Outlet is slated to go on sale later this year. No explicit date has been set yet. V2H is likely a year+ away. Wassim mentioned in his recent AMA that they are still in the design/dev phase of the V2H two-way hardware. R2 will be able to support it via an eventual OTA update.

I can see why Rivian is developing their own V2H solution and look forward to it. I also understand that the company has to have priorities and that in the real world those change over time.

But their solution being a year away is frustrating as it's been proven that even the 1st gen R1s deliver DC and can be used in V2H now (Sigenergy, etc.). They have been saying things like (paraphrasing) "All Rivian vehicles have what they need for V2H" for literally years (4-5?).

Many of us were hoping that once the standard was published, Rivian would prioritize supporting that standard even if they didn't have their own end-to-end solution.

Maybe the VW investment will push this and other enhancements up the ladder. Yeah, wishful thinking!
