Appreciate the writeup - I'm a dummy with cars so I appreciate the explanation.“Rides better” is subjective and not necessarily “rough” or “smooth”
I drove the R2 then the R1S. I felt the R2 was “harsh” and the R1S was “smooth”, however the R2 was 100% more in tune with the road where the R1S sort of just floated. I almost equate this to driving a sports sedan, ie BMW M3 vs 5/7 series.
And both the R1 and R2 are exceptional at eliminating body roll but accomplish it in entirely different manners.
If one prefers handling ”on rails” with the ability to feel the road and that is “riding better” this is the R2. If you want a long haul cruiser then this leans more to the R1. Both models “can do“ either.

I know you said "prefer" on the part of "on rails" handling but there's absolutely no way the R2 can provide that. R2 suspension is designed to go off-road as well as on-road so it is an all-around performer. If you prefer on rails handling, better look else where. Porsche Macan EV would be best bet.If one prefers handling ”on rails” with the ability to feel the road and that is “riding better” this is the R2. With the R1, optional accessories like crossbars and all weather floor mats usually are drop shipped, and will arrive in the mail after you get your vehicle. I expect this to be the same for the R2.Yes, it comes with floor mats (if that's what you meant). The adapter should arrive by mail. I did not have to order anything.
