Reservation online still being used? Need a new vehicle late 2026, early 2027

Are people still using the $100 online Rivian reservation? I just found out I need a new vehicle sooner rather than later due to some other family things - probably late 2026 or early 2027. I’m considering several other vehicles, but the shape and features of the R2 have always look good to me. I would get a Premium or Performance. Should I just reserve using the $100 now and figure it out later or there’s no point because I’ll be “too far down the list?”

Yes, pretty much. The $100 is refundable anyways.

If you need a vehicle soon, put in a reservation and then go to the reservation on your account and indicate that you are interested in a launch edition. That’s the way to get one as quick as possible. You may or may not be invited to order by the end of the year; depends upon the other people that have reservations.
