I would first bet money on silver, and then half man grey? But I second guessed myself because it seems the half moon grey is maybe darker than the photos?
Related to the topic of this thread - how is the A/C performance when the car idling? Sorry, I’m new to EVs, and in ICE, air moving through the engine helps. I sit in carpool in NC heat (95 degrees) in the summer for an hour daily, so an EV would really help me in keeping the cabin comfortable...
So I’m guessing that whenever the Launch edition “runs out” and you buy the “regular” Performance edition, it will cost more? It’s hard to tell from the current pricing, whether to take advantage of the current Performance trim.
Love the shape and look and brand of the Rivian R2, but BMW seems to have a good vehicle on their hands in the fall when the I3X comes out. It seems BMW has had good reliability with their current iX and almost seems like a sleeper EV maker.
Which one would have the best build quality and...
Are people still using the $100 online Rivian reservation? I just found out I need a new vehicle sooner rather than later due to some other family things - probably late 2026 or early 2027. I’m considering several other vehicles, but the shape and features of the R2 have always look good to...
I was just about to post this but you beat me to it! Thankful that this loan is going through. Rivian needs help for the R2 and its construction - the R2 is what will make Rivian long-term.
Yep - that’s why I was hoping that the engineering of the 2nd generation of the R1S can mostly help with the R2 reliability. We know that most new EV engineering takes a while to get higher reliability.
That has to be combined with a better Service dealer network.
Both of the above needs...
I have an Audi SQ5 that I believe is a ticking time bomb about to turn on in 2026 or 2027 and looking at either a Rivian R2 or Model Y.
Most of my neighbors have a R1S or R1T but can't really spend the money for those right now. Are we thinking that the R2 will take advantage of all of the...
Correct - I currently have an Audi Q5 and am looking at a R2. The R1S is too big for me. Was looking for similar dimensions as the Q5 (would be okay with being slightly better, but not smaller than the Q5).
Model Y would fit for me, but I was hoping for more of a blocky, rugged shape than...
*UPDATE*
My neighbor only had his R1T back for a week before the warning lights came on again - motor light, possible performance loss light and other random lights. He's driving a front-wheel vehicle again, rear motor is out. That means it wasn't an issue with the rear motor. Probably some...
What's the state legislation in SC like and what's the way around it? NC has similar but Rivian looks like they are planning a service center near the Raleigh area for 2025. And Tesla figured out the service center thing earlier anyway.
Correct - it was still under warranty so everything was covered, including the rental car. His invoice had some filler charge for the rear motor around $7k so who knows how accurate that is.
