13 Rivian R2 (out of 28 total) spotted in Park City, UT. Event Coverage Coming June 9

Spotted 13 R2s in Park City today waiting to be loaded on a transporter. Really special to have my first R2 siting like this!

Talked to one of the employees who said it was a press event ahead of the production release and we should see coverage from this event when everything drops on Tuesday! He also said they had a total of 28 R2s on site.

That’s actually launch green! That was one of my favorite colors on it in person.

In person, it has a bit more of sophisticated mid-century green vibe rather than a traditional military green vibe I thought.

I remember Out of Specs doing annR2 walk around a couple of months back and they had the colors already. They were painted onto unusual 3D forms instead of plates, per usual.

I live close to two of the stores, so I’m going to try for a test drive ASAP. I think the price of paint will mean I’m going with Esker to pay for the tow package.

The store near me only had R1 color samples on display yesterday. A few of them carry over to R2.

I am flying home from work tomorrow and plan on driving by the SLC SC to stop by on the way home to see if I can eyeball an R2

I really want color, but if I don’t win this in an EV raffle this or next summer then a leased R2 Premium in Esker Silver it is.
