  1. R1S G2 DPM Energy Issues

I also have a 2025 R1s dual max preformance. Most of my miles are around town and I get 2.5 - 3 miles/kwh. Road trip and highway miles are much less efficient with accessories mounted and driving 80mph. Our average over almost a year is 2.5 miles/kwh after 12k miles. No issues with home level 2...
  2. EV base running board install instructions for 2025 Gen 2 R1S

If the board was too far back the rear door would hit it when opening. I had no issues with clearance in the front. I'm not sure which part of the car the running board is hitting up front for you. I positioned my running boards as far out and back as possible.

Appreciate the feedback. Glad mine didn't break at 35 ft-lb. I'll add a note to the video suggesting 20 ft-lb may be better.

Nice clean cuts on the plastic panels! I got lazy and sloppy with those cuts. Mine are no where near as neat as yours. how did you decide on 20ft-lb?

  6. Trip report: Gen2 R1S Dual Max San Jose, CA to Yosemite

These chargers aren't federally funded so hopefully nothing will change.
  7. Trip report: Gen2 R1S Dual Max San Jose, CA to Yosemite

Took a day trip to catch Firefall last week. I was pleasantly surprised with how easy (and free!) charging in the park was. Had no issue finding chargers on a Friday in February with extra crowds coming in to catch firefall. Gen2 R1S Dual max performance with 22 inch range wheels and stock...

Yes the car did alert her. That doesn't help if you slam on the accelerator.
  10. EV base running board install instructions for 2025 Gen 2 R1S

Wow they must have just updated that. I installed my first side last week and the instructions I scanned out of the box showed all 3 brackets being used. What did you end up doing with the plastic panels? Such a pain to work with.
  11. Backed into a pillar in a parking garage. Final repair bill...

agreed that it seems like a reasonable price for all the work that was done. Only replacing the light bar out of pocket was our original plan. But once it turned into sensors not working we lost a lot of practical function. Fixing that added to our out of pocket cost so we decided to go through...

No idea! Can't imagine it will be pretty... will find out when it's time for renewal.

replaced were lift gate, tail gate, rear center light bar, and rear bumper.
  14. Backed into a pillar in a parking garage. Final repair bill...

Within days of getting our R1S my wife backed into a pillar in a parking garage at a very low speed. The obvious damage was the cracked center light bar, scuffed paint between the RIVIAN letters and a dent on the bumper. The rear sensors stopped working as well. We took it to a Rivian certified...
  15. EV base running board install instructions for 2025 Gen 2 R1S

All videos I could find online were for gen 1 R1S. The mounting brackets are different for 2025 as is some of the hardware on the panels. It took me a few hours to figure out the first side so I decided to make an instructional video to help out anyone else trying to put these on. Pretty easy...
