All videos I could find online were for gen 1 R1S. The mounting brackets are different for 2025 as is some of the hardware on the panels. It took me a few hours to figure out the first side so I decided to make an instructional video to help out anyone else trying to put these on. Pretty easy once you know where everything goes.

Damn I installed literally yesterday after work. Followed their new pretty poorly designed instruction. Thanks for sharing! The new brackets are definitely stronger than previous Gen.

the new instructions only ask you install 2 brackets only 1 and 2. Tech support confirmed only 2 are needed.
Here’s the updated instructions- they are pretty bad but if you read it a couple of times and look at pictures closely you can get it it.

Wow they must have just updated that. I installed my first side last week and the instructions I scanned out of the box showed all 3 brackets being used.

What did you end up doing with the plastic panels? Such a pain to work with.

EV Base sent me an email and told me the brackets coming in my box/order are not the correct brackets for my 2025 R1S. They are sending correct brackets in a separate order. I'm glad they told me this.

So do the Gen 1 trucks still need both brackets? I haven't put mine on yet so I'd like to know.

I used 3 brackets on each side my Gen 1 R1T and 2 brackets on each side of my Gen 2 R1S. The brackets are different between the 2 generations.

Thanks, I wonder if they could retrofit. It looks like they mount on the step the same way as before. This looks like a better design and lower profile but I'd have to cut more away from the plastic covers.

Yeah you gotta ask the manufacturer. I would think they would not be retrofittable. But I could be wrong. They sent me the 2022-2024 version of the kit and then sent me the 2025 brackets separately.
