  1. The Ultimate Rivian R1T RMAXX Gear Tunnel Slide-Out Modular Storage Management Sled System has Launched - EVSportline.com

I'd be interested, but Alaska punished again with shipping. To Fairbanks it is showing between $1300-$1500 for shipping. Will wait until next time we are down south!
  2. It did alright at -31F!

Normally that is the case. -30+F is a different entity. If auto-start used, warms fast on newer cars. Just not usually static at those temps to the level I saw with the Rivian. Personal observation. My ICE gets up to operating temp, and cabin does warm up. I usually auto-start 10 minutes...
  3. It did alright at -31F!

I was specifically talking that an ICE at -30 takes a long time to reach operating temperature via auto-start. Yes, it does get warm, and when driving I can take coat/gloves off. Just not usually on my 10 minute drive home at -30+.
  4. It did alright at -31F!

Rivian charger. In Rivian app, you can set a schedule. Knowing it was cold I set it to start at midnight, to give it a couple of hours to thaw after 13 hours in sub -25+ temps. Thus was at 70% the next morning, ready to go.
  5. It did alright at -31F!

Lots of newer info in a recent update in the vehicle settings, including battery and motor temps. Image is my starting temps in the garage!
  6. It did alright at -31F!

I set temp at 68 to auto and ran seat heat and steering wheel heat. Pre-heated cabin about 20 minutes before heading home. It started at 1 degree in cabin, and by the time I departed it showed 65'ish. Felt comfortable enough to take off coat, and not need gloves. That is NOT usually the...
  7. It did alright at -31F!

I would have no hesitancy as long as I prepared like I would for any trip in the winter up here. Meaning that I would leave from warm garage fully charged with emergency kit. Emergency kit for the Rivian if I HAD to go for a distance would include my generators, parallel kit, and gas. As...
  8. It did alright at -31F!

I would agree, but school not in the best area of town, and a pretty expensive portable charger might be too tempting for some. We did the nice drive from Colorado Springs, and ferried it in the summer! Was a great trip! Only keeping it in Alaska for 2 years before we head out for good. I...
  9. It did alright at -31F!

It was actually .83 at the lowest for the 10 mile duration. Might have went lower as it was continuing to warm up battery (I think I got home with pack at 32 degrees, but dont quote me). I KNOW there is going to be NOTHING efficient at those temps! Daily commute leaving a 50 degree garage, I...
  10. It did alright at -31F!

QM. It was a little late, so did not pay as much attention at motor temps. On some colder days (not as cold as last night) where I drove further you could easily see hitting 200 to dump heat into batteries. Pretty amazing how it does that. Leaving garage for daily commute it seems totally...
  11. It did alright at -31F!

It was the coldest day yet for our Rivian in Fairbanks, AK! Truck spent 12+ hours outside sitting yesterday (and did not get above -20!). Only drove two short distances after sitting for several hours. First was to go home and eat some dinner before a Christmas concert at the school, so the...
  12. Official Rivian Email: A Look Ahead to 2023. Rivian Membership cancelled and unbundled into subscription services

It is also great how there are NO planned Service Centers in Alaska in the update. In a recent chat they indicated no plan for 2023, thus NO delivery of ANY Rivian's for ANYONE in Alaska for all of 2023.
  13. I wanted to represent Rivian at Arctic Road EV Rally (Jul-Sep res holder), but crickets!

Yep, Watching the TFL guys, and keeping a watch on how they do with the ferry and such. Had not heard Kyle was doing anything like this and follow hIm.
  14. I wanted to represent Rivian at Arctic Road EV Rally (Jul-Sep res holder), but crickets!

I contacted Rivian earlier in the summer to suggest Plant pickup (when I had time to do it. IT director for a Private School, so early summer is quieter). Was told I had to wait for guide contact, so I knew was not likely to happen, and still no guide, even though I am still currently slated...
