There's other threads on here with images, but basically pierce and then feed a cable through an extra cable port in the firewall grommet on the passenger side of the cabin air intake filter. If you poke around in there with a flashlight, you'll find what I mean without much issue.
So, this happened:
Ol' Gary got whacked by a dead tree that came down in a storm. It's been in the body shop for a bit, but very soon I'll have it back repaired! This means new build opportunities.
I've got to decide, do I go with another Prospeed Rack? They're certainly really good racks...
Bingo. Sounds like a safety step to make sure the sudden drop of 12v doesn't kick the contactors closed to charge the 12v battery they're in the middle of unplugging.

Bummer, that rules it out for me. I need positive anchoring for everything in my bed, sudden upward forces are prone to happen when I drive offroad. That slide would end up banging around under whenever I hit a hard whoop or jump.
Well, it's been a while without any updates, so here goes a few of them.
First, I don't have the same truck as pictured here anymore. To sum up what could become a negativity-pit, Rivian repurchased my truck from me after significant service center visits.
Second, the very next day I flew to...
