Adding my experience in the hope that it can help someone else.
My wall charger was installed in early 2023 inside a garage. I often charge the truck when it is parked outside of the garage though. I have my truck set to charge in the middle of the night so I generally don't check on it's...
I was getting a lot of water intrusion even with a manual tonneau cover and ended up putting all the gear in waterproof bags. I don’t think that adding a gasket around the edge will help as I’m pretty sure water is coming from above around the flat top plastic piece and that water is meant to...
All done with the first version. Turned out pretty close to how I pictured. Not perfect but very functional. Fairly simple project if you have a jigsaw and drill. All in for less than $100. The biggest cost was the sheet of ABS.
Materials:
Textured black ABS sheet 48" x 24" x 1/4"
8 longer...
Took the panel off again to get some final measurements before I plan out and order some material. I'm just going to go with a basic flat 1/4 inch abs sheet black and textured, then cut out a door that will flip down on hinges. Really hoping this is just a temporary thing and that maybe in a few...
I didn't explore how to access it from the top. It looks like it would be quite a bit more involved. There's at least a metal plate and the top plastic trim piece. There are some more pics and video of the top pieces removed in this thread...
I forgot to measure the dimensions when it was open, but the height and width of the cavity is around 7-8". Not enough for max tracks, but enough for other recovery gear.
I'll try contacting service and see what they say. I fear what the cost might be.
This would be ideal. I know there's a few...
Curiosity got the better of me and I wondered what exactly is in that powered tonneau cover space on the manual/no tonneau versions. How much or little of the hardware is there and how difficult is the space to access?
No surprise, all the hardware is gone. I didn't check to see if any of the...
The floor mats seem pretty durable, not sure that I would ever need a spare. Also I really like the stock mats and will probably switch back to those once the weather gets nicer again.
Received an extra front driver floor mat for some reason when I ordered my set so I'm just giving it away. I purchased it for the R1T but I'm sure it would fit the R1S too. Located in SE Michigan. Willing to ship if you cover the costs. KAGU Series Custom Fit All-Weather Floor & Frunk Mats by 3D...
