I’ve had my R1T with the max battery for one week now. I live in Point Reyes Station and ski at Kirkwood. When I input Kirkwood into the map it indicated I can get there with 119 miles to spare but I’m worried it will make it that far without charging. Anyone else have expeeriecne driving to the Sierras in the winter?

My advice, try it. Don’t stress. If you get closer and it’s draining more quickly stop at one of the many chargers along the way. Do you have a plan for charging while at kirkwood? If not make sure you have enough to get back to your chosen charging station on the return trip.

That gives you a lot of flexibility. But for peace of mind, stop by the RAN in Sacramento and charge up to 70%. Shouldn’t take long. You can stretch your legs and use the restroom. And get to Kirkwood with plenty of spare electrons. And as you get use to your Rivian and the route you can fine tune.
