Sounds like the Electrify America station in Schofield is now open! A couple reports on Plugshare of people using it already. Now eagerly waiting for the one in Howard to open as well.

Nice! We are going to be up in Minocqua in November so that stop might come in handy.

Schofield Electrify America station works like a dream! Just tested it out 10/20/23. Now just waiting for Howard (Green Bay Area).

How would you guys manage Minocqua? I'm staying up there in a few weeks at a VRBO rental, but I'm not sure if they have the ability to charge there. There are not really a lot of charge options up there. Does it make sense to just charge up to 100% at Schofield on the way up and hit it up again on the way down? We are heading up there on the 16th and driving back on Monday the 20th, but will be driving around the area for hikes and what not. I wish we had access to Tesla supercharges already, that would solve a lot of problems.

@mrodriguez I think that would be your best bet. Looks like it's roughly 150 miles from EA charger to Minocqua, so that should leave you enough to drive around in the area without too much range anxiety.

When I did a summer trip up to Tomahawk (before the EA station was open) we charged up at the MREA in Custer on the way up and the way back. The other options I looked at was the Rhinelander Chevrolet Buick Dealership, or the Prentice Truck and Travel. Both are a bit out of your way, though.
