Hey everybody, thought I’d throw this out here and hope topics like this are ok?!? Butbecause I didn’t realize it was a possible road drive mode…and because of a Rivian owners comment to the excessive tire wear article which was something like…
“Sport mode since day 1, because whats the point of having a 835 HP super truck if you don’t drive it like a 835 HP super truck?”
that got me thinking….
***Also, this comes with a disclaimer that this should not be tried if you are not comfortable with your rear tires losing, or more accurately Breaking, traction. ***
Has anyone tried Drive Mode>Off-Road>Drift>Traction-Control-Off>Standard-Height.
This allows Drifting at speeds greater than 20mph.
If you know how to control the rear tires trying to catch up with the front tires it will bring ?’s!
But again, be careful, know how to control a sideways vehicle and not sure I would try this with off-road tires on asphalt, it will tear up the tread! I have 21” road tires (well worn! ?) so I get some nice drift action.
Also, please don’t think I drive like that all the time, 95% of the time I’m in Conserve Drive Mode being range conscious! The other 5%…??
