Hey y'all. Im hoping I can get some input from the forum members here. Ive had a rough go in owning a Gen2 R1S. The issue I would like some input on: Everyday I drive Eastbound on the i10. When I go through the tunnel that is downtown my UHF will no longer work. It says "Drivers attention detection failed." And will no longer work until I park, get out, and get back in and start driving again. If I go Westbound, no issue usually. But every day during my commute I lose any autonomy or highway assist. Cruise control works though. Anyone else drive through that i10 tunnel downtown have the same issue ever? I took it in for service with plenty of videos, and captured diagnostics but they say im using it wrong. Ive tried without my sunglasses, different lanes through the tunnel, no engaging any autonomy until after the tunnel, any combination I can think of to troubleshoot. Any other Rivian drivers experience this?

I have a gen 1, and it seems like Rivian's road data or something is still messed up for that area. In my truck it tells me to take over every single time. If I do, no problem, and then I can re-enable it a ways past the tunnel (not right after). If I don't take over, it will then disable itself until I park, like yours. Unfortunately I think until Rivian can figure out this problem, you just need to take over before the tunnel on your own.

I installed a Comma AI in my truck, and it's vastly better than gen 1 stock. Might be better than UHF, dunno, and I'd be happy to meet up for a comparison. Instead of a monthly fee, it's around $1100-1500 one time, depending on specific options.

@SwampNut Thanks for the input. I appreciate that. That was what I initially thought. Since I take this route every day I have tried everything I can think of to avoid it, including what you mentioned. My commute is essentially 5 miles- tunnel- 18 miles. It doesn’t matter if I use it prior or not, disengage it prior to any warning or not, sadly. No matter what, I go through that tunnel and won’t be able to use it for the rest of my drive. I’m going to do some research on that Comma AI.

Wow, that is insane. I rarely drive there, but it gets me every time. There's the Comma-Rivian Discord if you want. I've been heavily involved since the first Rivians being adapted. I've installed and removed more Commas than anyone ever should. Aside from the PTSD I have from it, I can help if you decide you want one. https://discord.gg/GgCKPW2xu
