How you doing... from South Jersey. Midnight R1S
Picked it up wednesday before thanksgiving in Brooklyn. Loving the suv so far. Reserved almost a year ago 12/2022. Anyone else have any issues with delivery...not with truck itself but with costumer service?

Congrats! Glad to hear the S is a winner. Can I read between the lines that you had some delivery issues? Care to share?

Also, out of curiosity, when did you confirm your configuration? 9/2022 R1S reservation. Confirmed last month. Awaiting a delivery estimate. Central NJ here.

sorry about delayed response. Yea there was little delivery issue. I was scheduled for the wednesday before thanksgiving @ 2pm at Brooklyn service center. The night before I get text (thats how everything was communicated through) that they want me to pick up suv at the Rivian Space in brooklyn. I,m coming from outside ocean city , so about 2 1/2 hrs to drive. didnt want to pay the $1000 home delivery charge. Got to the Rivian Space ..signed all the paperwork. I had a trade in so used that car to drive up, they had given me a decent trade in price. After waiting a half hours , the Rivian guy instructs me that they dont have pickups there at the Space and instructed me to drive a couple blocks down in front of some building that they were using to deliver new cars to new owners. After about another 45min of no one to greet you or to check in , I got out (mind you there were other rivians getting delivered at this spot) and went up to one of the rivian dudes working with someone and asked what was going on. 20 min later I was told that I had to drive to the brooklyn service center ,of which my original appt had been scheduled , to pick up my car there. Even with waze I had no clue where i was so the Rivian dude volunteered to drive us in my trade in car to the center. After 45 min wait there in the service center customer waiting area , the rivian dude says my R1S is there but they cant find the keys so they are reprogramming some. 20 min later , I get my SUV. I think it was exactly 5pm there in brooklyn, prime time to drive back to south jersey(sarcasm). The rivian dude said "I know you want to get of here are keys or I can go over stuff with the R1S for about 45min". At this point , I knew i'd be stuck in traffic anyway so went with him explaining stuff with the car--which i highly recommend. anyway thats my rivian pickup experience. Love the car though..it was worth the yearlong wait. I think i confimed my configuration the middle of this past october and surprisingly got the text my config was done and ready November 8th. It just took me awhile to get to brooklyn because of work.

Brooklyn SC f-n sucks, hopefully you won't have to deal with them anytime soon. It's just the way it is.

yea that doesnt seem to be the greatest place. and its always nice to have the customer rest room out of order when you drive from 2 and 1/2 hrs away.

I ordered mine 07/2021 and received 12/30/2023… I should add as a disclaimer I was a recipient of a NJ grant, which held up the process, I believe I could have received as early as spring/summer this year. But, went to pick up from Brooklyn Thursday, was informed that there was a leak in the windshield molding, and they would deliver it out… wasted about 6 hours of my day.
