Before we bust out the pitchforks. I do test out the cooler in the Rivian! The unboxing is at 9:16 and the size test is at 13:13. Let me know what you guys think!

Honestly. I didn't know what to expect with the $700 cooler and it didn't fit in the gear tunnel, but MAN, I am impressed with it!
I don't think I would've bought it if it were my actual money, but I'm glad to have it!

Edit:
$700 and it doesn't even plug in?!? Absolutely not.

I got this dual zone fridge/freezer for $220 and it is way more useful than that atrocity: https://a.co/d/adZLzLB
I'm excited to try it, the way the air gets pushed out when it closes, it's sooo satisfying. But yea $700 is wild for a cooler lol

$700 for a cooler that is:
1. Ugly
2. Unpowered
3. Weird shaped
4. Ugly
5. Needlessly heavy
6. Might sever my kid's fingers accidentally?

I can see why Tesla is able to sell this to people they conned into a Cybertruck

I really like the design. I think any cooler can pinch fingers. The shape is weird lol I go back and forth on the powered thing. If the ice lasts long then I'm okay without it.

I was really hoping it'd fit in the gear tunnel lol

Honestly the no power thing on a cooler doesn't bother me. If I were a camper I might prefer it to be powered. But for long distance driving to and fro I had a powered cooler and it just wasn't worth it.

A powered cooler was more expensive, took up more room than the equivalent amount of ice, required electricity which limited where I could put it, required sufficient air flow to work, was worse at cooling than ice, and (most egregiously!) had the temerity to die on me after just a few uses. The unpowered cooler I replaced it with is collapsible, can be "recharged" for near zero dollars at any hotel, rest stop, or restaurant in a pinch, has a clear indicator that it is nearing depletion, and provides the dog with a nearly unlimited amount of chilled drinking water.

Thats what I'm saying. I have a fridge in my little popup camper and I dont even use it when camping, it's just more storage. The ice in my normal cooler is plenty cooling.

This one is crazy expensive but I can feel the quality. Maybe I'm just blown away because ive never bought anything besides the cheap colemans before but I love this thing lol

A $700.00 ice chest for your EV. Seriously? Anyone who thinks this is a great product for road/dispersed camping, has never really done any serious camping. So many superior products out there for so much less.

But, it does seem like a perfect fit for a Cybertruck owner…or a tailgate party.

$700 for an ice chest you're going to put into the Frunk. I'd hate to even think about how many disks in my back would be blown out trying to life that monstrosity out of there to empty it.

We have three of these 24-pack AO Coolers from when we had a boat in carious colors. These can be stored in the gear tunnel, Frunk, or even tied into the bed hold - not to mention they stay cold really well. I'd rather these any day as they are more modular in that we can take only one, or all three if needed, cost about $100 each, and won't blow my back out moving them around.

Awe thanks lol I don't consider myself an influencer.

But I definitely said I wouldn't spend my money on it. But free is free ya know lol

Thanks for the link! I really wanted something for the gear tunnel but I'm not about to be sad about $0 lol

@Riviot - Any chance you know anyone with a Gen1 R1S and could check to see if this could fit into the subtrunk? I really want a dual-zone unit but can't find one that will drop into the subtrunk. The limiting dimension seems to be front-to-back, which is only 13". The Bodega 38QT Dual Zone seems like it's about an inch too deep (front to back at 14.1 inches) to fit. I've been looking at the 32QT EUHOMY which is only 12.6" deep (and will also accept a dedicated battery), but it's not dual-zone.
