The headline is a work in progress, but has anyone had the in-vehicle cellular data stream fail?

Happened to me and now I have a date with the SC. SOS failed too, most likely because SOS requires the AT&T data connection. It’s been a week. I can get in-car services by using phone as hotspot, and thus stream music, etc. But I can’t access the vehicle remotely unless it is connected to external WiFi. That means no popping the frunk from afar as I approach the truck at the supermarket to put away the bags of groceries, etc.

Absolute First World problem, but an annoyance, especially when paying for Connect+ services and getting none of them.

Assuming you've tried both resets, that is annoying.

On the frunk popping, you can still do that via Bluetooth within around 30-50' of the vehicle

AT&T has horrible service in northern New England. Would be nice to have a Verizon option

Yes—for some reason I always have a deep breath moment when doing the hard reboot, but it restarted successfully and didn’t solve the issue.
A reboot of infotainment after the OS upgrade did sort out a small issue with the Google Maps though.

I realized I didn’t return to post the “fix”— the tech disconnected the 12v battery for a half hour and then reconnected.

Note that this isn’t as much a fix as it is “what would happen if we did *this*?”

In any case, works now and has for the past few weeks. Should this happen to anyone else, there is a step beyond the hard reset.

AT&T is pretty much trash all around. I'm also convinced it is the main reason the Apple Music app barely works.

A few people have posted the same. This resets the modem.
