It has ~20% more power sooo... I'd say yes.

There was a thread a while back discussing this I believe. From my understanding, under certain conditions (low battery, thermal limits), Sport mode may underperform, and All-Purpose could feel or actually be faster, especially at highway speeds. It’s not the default behavior, but it can happen due to software-based power management.

Yes. Each mode has different power curve and throttle mapping, as well as traction and dynamic stability management algorithms.

The OP also asked about on the fly switch from AP to Sport for highway passing. The vehicle is so quick that any “press to pass” advantage is likely negligible. Either drive all the time in sport or all the time in AP without worrying about changing modes to be a little quicker. You are already quicker than 95% vehicles you would share the road with.

At no time have I felt my dual p T was slow. It's blazingly fast at all times, yet the quads are even quicker which I find hard to wrap my head around.
