Rivian now has new options available for current owners looking to upgrade to a Gen2 vehicle

Are we able to buy the lease, trade in our rivians, and get the incentives.. then immediately switch over to purchase and the trade in for our car can go towards the purchase price?
If Rivian were to do this, I would trade in my quad R1S for a dual max or tri motor.

Well , I received the same message, they are offering aggressive discount on the lease of dual max, 6500 plus 2k now memorial Day and 7500 tax credit
They paid me 45400 for my 2022 green on green 80k miles truck which is good
My problem is lease is not enough miles for me , I can't get green interior and if I decided to pay off the residual value is 60% of the car which is a lot
For 97k MSRP with 12k miles and 0 down the payment was 1150

What should I do ?
Is gen2 worth it ?

In the process of doing this right now. Guide has been great explaining everything but I will say that the delivery center people were a little confused when I dropped it off as it's not a "trade in". It has to be treated as a separate transaction from your new purchase. Ironically, 2 days after I dropped off my R1S I got this notification on my app (and I already had my battery replaced proactively)

Picked up my Tri Forest Green today! Very happy with it except the top of the dash has a "bump" and looks like it needs to be glued down in a spot. Didn't notice until the drive home sitting on the ferry. Other than that I REALLY noticed the ride difference on the Seattle roads. So much smoother and compliant. It feels less "busy". The quad motor sounds never bothered me but this Tri has way quieter motor noise. Not sure if anyone else noticed this but the tailgate opening speed is about twice as fast as my old Gen1. I'll attach a video,,, it almost took me out it was that quick.

Rivian buy-back program was great and they offered a lot more than everyone else for my R1S. Should be receiving the check any day now for that (they treat it as a completely separate process).

One thing though... I miss my forest edge interior already !!

I just drove a Gen2 DM for a couple days and opted to not upgrade. Not enough pros to outweigh the cons for me. Even after factoring about $20k in discounts, I'd still be spending an additional $31k and lose my 2% interest rate.

5k downpayment assistance; 3k trade in credit; 3k electric upgrade and the 7,500 lease credit. The guide estimated monthly payment to be about 1.2k for 10k miles 36 months lease. But he is unable to tell me the MF, residual value until I have put in a deposit and credit application.

If I were to take advantage of this offer, with such low lease milage, I would buy out the lease as soon as I can.

Can someone please tell me if this is a good offer?

If you don’t live in Texas, this is a good offer. I’d love to take advantage myself however the tax situation in TX nullifies a chuck of the incentives….

Haven’t heard of the “3k electric upgrade” before, are you sure the guide didn’t mistakenly quote the trade in credit twice, because that was a trade in credit of electric cars?

Thanks I'm in CA. What is the tax situation that you mentioned? Is that related to paying the full amount when buying out the lease? I'm not sure if CA is the same situation.

I thought so too. And I asked the guide 3 times with the incentives listed out each time. And he confirmed those were indeed the incentives.

The dune is a limited edition with similar spec to the TriMax except it doesn't have the new fancy interior but instead having something similar to the dual interior with different color scheme and flooring material. But it also got the free underbody armor, cross bar and offroad recovery board.
