Can’t complain, less than $.10 a mile for tires and electricity….tempted to chase the efficiency of the Grabber HTS60….what’s your next tire going to be?
AS, I'm split between HTS60 and LTX MS2, both in 275/60R20 of course. I'm solidly in the 33" camp and don't see a need for 34s. MS2 has better treadlife, so any efficiency gain on Grabbers is lost in earlier changes.

Edit to add: I talked my friend into getting MS2 for his R1S, so I also feel obligated since I believe they're a great AS tire. And they're available at Costco so ?

AT, I'm a solid Goodyear Wrangler Territory AT fan. It's a matter of wearing out my AT3Ws currently on there first. I can't justify dropping $1200 on a new set with mine work just fine right now. I did get sporty with them the other day hitting some twisties real fast coming back from the cabin and heard a couple scrapes in the wheel well, so hopefully that helped ?

Long term efficiency:

Overall very pleased with the Yoko Geolandar CV 4S. Slightly disappointed with overall efficiency, had hoped it would have been closer to 2.3 MPK, coming in 2.2 or slightly under on average. Tire wear is better than expected, looking like 35k miles is possible, we’ll see.

> 2.09 MPK in Winter ave. Speed of 35 mph
(~3,000 miles Nov/Dec/Jan)

> 2.25 MPK in Summer ave. Speed of 44 mph (~2,000 miles Jun/Jul/Aug)
I see that your location is "CA" so what constitutes winter to you?

CA isn’t just one climate, of palm trees and beaches, if that’s what you’re getting at. Yes there are parts like that but it is also home to low and high deserts (Death Valley vs Mojave River Valley), forests (including Pacific Temperate Rainforests) and the Sierra mountains; like Mt Whitney, the highest of contiguous states. Big Bear Ski Resort is also in Southern CA, as is Venice Beach.

I know...that's why I asked what he meant by winter lol. The weather in Malibu is decidedly different from places close to Yosemite.

Sorry. It's just that too often people—who don't know squat about geography—say, "you're in CA, what would you know of winter?!".

This includes round trip to Brian Head…
Conserve on highway, AP/Sport off highway…
Typical highway speed 75 to 83 MPH
Noticed the front motors got extremely hot going down steep grade in conserve…should have been in AP

i have nothing to add other than to say thank you so much! people like you really add a lot to the rivian and EV community! I am considering a gen2 R1S soon with 20inch wheels so i have more tire choices, and was looking for an all weather tire as I get occassional snowstorms.

I'm not familar with geolander as a brand, but it looks like its a great choice with good efficiency and mileage wear

Thanks! I would definitely get the Geolandars again, a great tire and looking like they should last at least 30k miles…there are several other tires I’d like to try too, so plenty of options in the 275/60R20…and now some decent 275/65R20 options too, although I think I’ll stick with 33” so putting on snow chains is possible (not much clearance with 34”)…

Took a recent look at data for these tires, here’s MPK vs Temp for the last ~10 months…almost time for 2nd rotation:

Thanks for the thread. I really like my 34's around town but might want a set of 33 for ski trips or other very long road trips with better efficiency and these might be the one I'm most interested.

Just in case anyone missed it - you can now change the tire size right in your Rivian. For 20's they have both 275/65 and 275/60 available.
