Surely by now someone has had occasion to use the included Tireject tire repair kit? If so, can you give an evaluation of how well it worked? I've recently had two flats on my OEM 21" road tires. Both showed up at home fortunately, one just after arriving, the other after sitting overnight. We drive 4 mi of gravel to get to the pavement so in a way not too surprised, although these are the first tires I've had a problem with -- but also the heaviest vehicle. Had the first repaired at a tire shop and am now using as a spare, and am taking the second in tomorrow, so I'll be driving on at least one repaired OEM tire. Anyway, I'm wondering how much people have driven on tires that were repaired using the kit. I'm treating the kit as an emergency situation repair, rather than an alternative to a "proper" repair, but wondering about continuing to drive on a tire repaired with the kit.

I used it and it worked awesome. It filled a slice in my tire I got running over a pair of scissors. Aired. Up and held pressure for two days and discount tire got the new tire and showed me the scissor s and damage. They were surprised it worked for a cut that big! I bought another package on Amazon to replace it

That's impressive. How much did you drive on it in those two days?

I used it on an R1S (not my wife’s) to patch a pretty sizable puncture from a nail or screw (not sure which). It worked very well and held.

I would prefer to use a plug as a temporary fix though as I am not a fan of putting goo in the tire…but it’s easy and fast to fix a puncture.

If you use the tire repair kit can the tire still be repaired by a tire shop?

I used the tire kit to plug/seal a boat trailer tire. Was a large screw that had a lot of length sticking out - tire was nearly flat. The plug/seal worked fine. I had to disconnect from the trailer, as the air compressor hose was 2 feet too short to reach the passenger side rear tandem axle. Drove fine 50 miles home, where I did replace the tire.

Not sure.
The tireject site says it is water-soluable and can be cleaned out with a water-soaked rag. I suspect they should still scrape/grind off the inside surface just as they need to do for wax from manufacturing if they're going to patch it. They also say it is compatible with tire plugs, so it can be used to follow a plug that still leaks.
