Talking to a dealer that has a used 23 R1T Adventure Package with 10k miles on the odometer. This R1T has the dual motor large battery with 21" road wheels and tires. Any R1T owners that has this configuration willing to share their efficiency experience? Curious as to miles/kWh and range from 80% to 20% SOC?

Thanks in advance.

I have a quad but dual motor will be slightly more efficient because it can turn off the rear motor above 20 mph.

Efficiency will vary based on temps, elevation change, wind, etc. my average is right around 2.25. Cold winter temps I see around 2mi per kWh if I preheat the battery for a long trip. In milder conditions and in conserve mode I can achieve up to 2.6 mi per kWh.

your dual large should be rated at 352 mi on a full charge. So 20-80 would be 60% of that best case.

I would say a 20 to 80% range of 175 mi can be expected. Slightly less when really cold and slightly better when it’s mild.

Schroederhc,
Thank you.
I am also at 2.3-2.4. Check the trip odometer on the vehicle you are buying. I'd bet you have pretty much all 10k miles recorded on trip B. (Click the chassis icon.)

Im in Houston, so it’s flat Highway driving for me, 2024 R1T large dual with 21’s. I charge to 72% to start my day with 260/262 miles. I’m usually around 3 at the end. Been very happy with it

Cte515,

Thank you for your response. It was very helpful. I do contract work for my former employer and I drive round trip from Tyler to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area 3-4 for times a week. The round trips are 225-250 miles and would like to do them without having to charge. This provides excellent information.

I am in the medical sales field, but I provide clinical support.

TexasBob,

It is interesting that you mentioned the trip odometer. Trip A has all of the mileage, but trip B has about 3K miles. Thanks again.

I have a '24 PDM/Large with 20" wheels, but 60 series AS tires; that combination makes the overall diameter and rolling resistance close to that of the OEM 21" wheel/tire. I've exercised the P capability of my DM setup on more than few occasions, but even with that, my efficiency is usually in the range of 2.6 mi/kWh or so. I have less than 3k miles on my R1T and not much more than 1.5k on the tires (swapped about 6 weeks after delivery), so still early days.

I’m in medical device sales as well, with ZB ortho, I’m at 16,000 miles at 2.8 I haven’t had any issues yet. Acouple of my hospitals put in chargers and that got me thinking this would work but now 5.5 months in I haven’t used a charger at a hospital yet. I usually do 30k miles a year so by my math it would be a difference of 5k a year with diesel and oil changes blah blah. Acouple of other reps have asked me about it and it’s a different way of thinking.

BTW, the truck is absolutely fantastic. I always do better on the highway (a solid 10%) than the vehicle predicts. The Tyler-Dallas round trip is going to require you to charge to 90% to be comfortable. OTOH you will probably be happier stopping for 10 min at the Buc-ees in Terrel. I drove round trip Houston-Dallas a couple weeks ago in one day - stopped for a bio break on way up and way back at the Buc-ees in Ennis/ Madisonville for a few minutes. (Get thee an A2Z adapter immediately!)

TexasBob,

Currently have a 21 Tesla Model Y LR AWD with 113K on the odometer. I charge to 80% and when I reach my destination in Dallas I am usually in the 30-35% SOC. When I return home I get to the Terrell Buc-ees at 15-20% SOC. I charge to 50% and head to Tyler. When I get home I am in the high teens to low 20s. The Buc-ees in Terrell for me has been a blessing. I use it on every return trip to Tyler. Almost a daily visitor.
