My R1S got hurt! ? Your thoughts / advice?

Got into a 3 car accident yesterday. Yes on Friday the 13th of all days! ? Thank god it wasn’t major and looks like I’ll need a new rear bumper but my only concern is the dent on the side. It’s not huge but I heard nightmare repair stories regarding that area.

What are your thoughts? I’m sure a good PDR guy can fix? Hopefully? ??

First is everyone ok? I sure hope so.

My only concern with the damage is it looks like the bumper got smacked pretty hard. Needs torn down to see what's lurking under there that needs repair. Otherwise the damage to the other areas look fairly minor....of course I am not a body shop expert.

Agreed. No telling what is going on behind that bumper because they spring back a bit after impact.

Is the paint scraped or just scuffed? I think a PDR guy could definitely handle the dents on the side and tailgate. Hopefully that’s the extent of it??

I recently got rear ended in Austin in my R1S

Are there any warning lights on in the dash?

I took mine to a certified Rivian repair specialist as they are the only shops with the proper test equipment and training to properly repair your truck.

also make sure you get a diminished value claim issued against the driver who hit you!

PDR should take care of the quarter panel. It the taillight and interior panels out, you can get back there.
Nothing too crazy going on in that section of bumper (no radars, major connectors, or speaker) and the hitch crossbar is really robust. Should be a straight-forward new bumper.
