"I live in Canada, known for its snow. I am not sure if having 22-inch sports wheels and tires is a good idea, or if I should go back to 21-inch wheels with regular tires. I want to know if it is safe to drive with the 22-inch sports wheels and tires in snowy conditions, or if I should switch back to the 21-inch wheels with normal tires."

Probably not much difference between the 2 tires in the snow. Which wheels do you want? You can always put Hakkas for X ice snow tires on the 22s. Not really any 21 choices yet.

You will want some chains/cables with either the 22s or the 21s, especially if you live in the mountains. Like @WSea mentioned at least with the 22s you can get some snow tires to swap out.

Most versatile in this case would be the 20s as they perform better in the snow.

Get a second set of winter tires with downsized rims. As a fellow Canadian, I'm ashamed you don't know this, especially on a Luxury vehicle...

It only makes sense what you and jjswan33 say - and then you're not obligated to choose 22" either if there's a particular type of winter tire that works best for the vehicle.
