Jan-Mar 2024 Delivery Coming Early in June 2023 - is that odd?

Glad to see some more west coast deliveries happening and people getting some good delivery updates. I’m a 5/2021 preorder and am still “processing estimates” due to the “transition of the Portland service center” whatever that means…?

HAHA. Yes. I saw your profile pic and was thinking the AT Dark's look awesome. I like many of the Rivian configuration options; there is really no 'bad' choice....other than Red Canyon with Ocean Coast...yuck.

I thought the same thing initially... wondering if there has been significant number of cancelations or factory is really ramping up nicely or I won a small lottery... or they just under estimated initially and over delivering it now. or any combination of above.

I have a 9/2021 reservation... a month after you but my latest ETA was Q4 2023. You booked it early enough, you should have been Q3 or Q4 to begin with like me. I've got the email last week, ahead of you so I think you are one of us who are being pulled back to the very original estimate which should have been 1H 2023 all along for those who reserved back in 2021.

either way, congratulation. Ask for a shop access right away. I snatched a launch edition and got the launch green I always wanted and saved on the wheel upgrade. 1-2 LE shows up there every day.

I just went through the 8 steps except for insurance. Already assigned a VIN. I asked CS for Shop access and they said it would take about 2 weeks.

I do believe they have been ramping up and a lot of cancelation as well. and it might be more of cancelation than ramping up. the economy is crap and a lot of people are not going to pay 6-9% interests rates, and some are more carful paying that 70-90K per car. we have Rivian cars over flow parking structure, and now there is like 100 rivains parked. I noticed some of the truck are there for more than a month .

Wondering if something seems off here (like getting someone else’s rejected vin) or if I’m over thinking it/won a small lottery? How the heck can Rivian be “ahead of schedule”…using the words of the voicemail I received from Rivian

Scheduled delivery was last changed to Jan-Mar 2024. I was asked to confirm config yesterday, was assigned a guide and this morning received an email to start the purchase process.

looks like you won the lottery as well. I placed my order September 2021 - forest green OC Adventure. Slated for Q4 2023 initially then after the reshufflement in Jan moved to Q3 2023. In mid March got a voicemail from a guide telling me my configuration was available for imminent pick up - under 2 weeks ( I live under 100 miles from the factory). I balked out of concern I got a reject but the Vin upon later review appeared recent. I shortly afterwards reconsidered but the truck was already gone. I waited a month and asked to given shop access which they did in May and within 24 hours found my configuration with 22's instead of 21"s. Retrospectively, Im glad I got the 22s given their looks despite the small loss in range. But I know now if I were in that situation again, I would take the offer immediately if the VIN appear current.

That is current. If it is what you want, go for it. There is no guarantee the one you would otherwise receive would be any better.

What was the miles on folks Rivian’s when they took delivery? My VIN shows 100 miles. All the new cars I’ve purchased were 30 or less. Am I getting a reject? Going to ask my Guide.

I now have 3 data points of earlier than expected delivery (based solely on the latest ETS published in April) and all of them are near Bellevue SC. (Seattle, Mill Creek, Redmond). all 2021 summer reservations and at the same time noticed other folks from different area with earlier reservations but haven't heard a thing so I think this is all regional based schedule shuffling or even service center based.

This cancelled VIN you speak of ... did it end with NN001548 or PN001548?
NN is 2022 model year. PN is 2023 model year.
If it's NN001548, then where has it been for the last 6 to 7 months?

My LE is PN01260x, suposedly just built. and when I inquire about the shop access early last month before getting the surprise email last week, I was told no, wait for my term so don't think any rez holder who asked for would get one.

Happened to me as well..Went up a full 1/2 year...There are many things that go into the delievry date..I ended up with an R1T vin # 13334..I LOVE MY TRUCK...basically few problems to date after 3000+ miles

very well under 100 miles. I remember seeing 100 miles on the paperwork but the actual car having very much smaller number. I was not concerned or bothered so I did not commit the number to memory. it was trivial.

I'm not concerned either after reading that thread. Guide also confirmed it's just a placeholder.
