Admin helped me get video uploaded to youtube while I’m out and about. Enjoy! I may get a little more when I go back by in about 30 minutes.

Added photos to have them in one place along with video.

bajadahl,

Thanks for growing my Car Porn collection. I had to delete some racy Model S videos to make room for your Rivian stuff. Stills of an early Leaf model being improperly charged are next to go....??

I debated posting this picture. Here’s a possible feature I haven’t seen mentioned anywhere before..... however, I have to warn you that I was told no decision has been made about whether or not it will actually make production. But I thought it was really cool especially for overlanding/off roading purposes. Notice the 2 lights on the mirrors circled here.... they are spot lights for lighting up the ditches or forward sides of the car. Don’t get your hopes up but that’s pretty cool and makes me wonder what other Easter eggs we might find that actually do make production.

12volt battery is in the frunk under a panel that can be removed without tools.
Thanks! So we now have confirmation that there is indeed a 12V battery contrary to feedback several of us had received from CS in the past.

Amazes me that decisions like this are still outstanding this close to production. I would think from a fabrication and inventory standpoint that they would need to be locked and loaded on all of these kinds of details at this point.

Those lights would be very cool if it makes it to production!

Question: I can't tell from your photo, if the windows are laminated (dual pane) or acoustic for lowering wind noise. I'm very sensitive to wind and road noise, and just learned from Pirelli that the RIV ELECT tires made for Rivian, will NOT have the PNCS foam. So I'm curious if Rivian will be using laminated windows to help with wind noise.

If you're still there, can you take a peak to see? The window will look like two pieces of glass, sandwiched together with a very thin film layer in between. Thanks!

Anyone notice that squeaking when the frunk was closing? Hopefully won’t be on the production units.

Alan,

You’re a good Dad! Way to go, getting your daughter excited about Rivian as well! (Just between us, is her excitement helping to lobby her Mom? If so, genius move!)

Thanks again for all the great videos, pics, and answers to all the questions thrown your way! I sure appreciate you! ??

I don't think that was the truck....brakes from a nearby car.

From the Cold Weather Testing Video vehicles, that same spot on the mirrors looks to be on those trucks as well. I'd say it will be on production vehicles too. Here's hoping.

If that is what we heard, it is likely something the Consumer Product Safety Commission, or some likeminded anti-fun group has mandated. It’s not unlike the requirement for all new EVs to make noise below a certain speed. It may seem like a good idea, but if we’re to believe science, natural selection is a good thing. It’s not nice to fool Mother Nature!

I love reading the annual Darwin Awards!

I thought it was a bird. If you wait a bit longer in the video can hear the same 'bird' again.

My first thought was also that it was a safety warning sound as it closed, but now I'm on team bird 100%.

I wonder if those are also used as the puddle lights with the Rivian logo that we've seen?
