Given the length of the connector and the fact that it sticks straight out of the port, I don't really think that should be much of a concern. And if somehow you manage to trigger the sensor once, you will learn not to do that again.I just hope there is no issue with trying to insert the charging connector and then having this activate accidentally. With many of the EA chargers, the connector will come from behind the front wheel and its path could cross that sensor.

Most likely a warning sticker for firemen/paramedics, due to the high voltage. My car has a sticker under the hood and a power wire that is marked for cutting by the fire department, in case of a crash.I've noticed a few of these vehicles have those stickers on the rear window that have a yellow triangle with black electrical bolt - is that a requirement for EVs is some states?
