I mean a stock plaid did the ring in like 7:30 which is like 15 seconds faster than the m2 cs. 7:30 is on par with the likes of the 911, GTR, AMG GT, F90 M5, etc. I don't like teslas either but it'll do the corners too.Obviously a guy with a small d!ck and over compensating for it.
Any one boasting about "smoking" a Rivian in a Plaid Model S certainly is a d-bag. And, anyone with any real car sense would never show off owning a Model S. A Plaid Model S is a one trick pony - goes super fast in a straight line, but the driving characteristics suck.
I mean, this guy IS a tool, AND I would personally buy a Taycan Sport Turismo GTS in PTS Jade Green or Gulf Blue instead of the Plaid... but it's silly to pretend like the Plaid isn't an impressive car, overall. Still has a faster Ring time than the Taycan Turbo (way more power, but steel brakes, no active aero, etc.), and it set a totally new bar for EV performance at high speeds with the carbon-wrapped motors.Obviously a guy with a small d!ck and over compensating for it.

I totally get it, it is a rocket of a car. But, it is still a Tesla.I mean, this guy IS a tool, AND I would personally buy a Taycan Sport Turismo GTS in PTS Jade Green or Gulf Blue instead of the Plaid... but it's silly to pretend like the Plaid isn't an impressive car, overall. I respectfully disagree. Yes it is obviously fast in a straight line, and also in the very important 60-130mph metric. But with some upgraded brakes, it is a top contender against many race cars/supercars/hypercars on a road course.A Plaid Model S is a one trick pony - goes super fast in a straight line, but the driving characteristics suck.
Yeah, I've owned a Tesla and have driven or ridden in quite a few Porsches on track (just did a ride-along with an instructor in a Boxster Spyder at the Porsche Experience center, recently, for instance), so I agree with you in principle. And I wouldn't post anything like the original tweet since I'm not 16 years old. I'm just saying the Plaid is pretty darn impressive, still, if you divorce it from the annoying guy's tweet and from how it's constantly pitted against the Taycan as if they can't both be great in different ways.I totally get it, it is a rocket of a car. But, it is still a Tesla.
I have owned 4 Tesla's, and now 3 different Taycan's. There is a night and day difference between drive handling and quality. Plus, a person with an understanding of high quality vehicles would never post on Twitter about " smoking a Rivian."
While I am partial to my Cross Turismo 4s these days, the only thing I want to smoke is a decent chunk of brisket or ribs.
I seriously doubt the 60-130 mph is an important metric given speed limits and very few people are driving at 120.I respectfully disagree. An average driver (which is most people, even if you're talking an enthusiast) will drive a Plaid (or a Telsa in general) better than say a real race car on a track.
