Has anyone heard anything new about this? Starting to think about whether I’ll keep my Tesla and use an adapter, or change out the charger all together. Using the Rivian as a backup power source is an interesting idea ...

I think you need to hear from Rivian that they will support this protocol to see whether it is even worth considering. I don't think it is part of the current CCS standard and actually bypasses the onboard inverter.

I asked Rivian customer support about this and was told, "stay tuned. We'll have more to say in the future." Bi-directional power is definitely a feature worth having, especially in PG&E serviced No Cal.
