2024.39.31 Update Now Installing (Halloween Theme Costumes Return!)

Hey all,
I'm guessing this will bring costumes back for Gen2. Does anyone know of any other changes from 39.30 to 39.31?

As far as I can see the release notes are the same. Mine’s installing now too.

Yup my costumes are back, and it actually worked on the first time clicking activate. Hah. Nice!

Yeah I noticed release notes were the same, so hopefully a clean fix!

Yeah I hope so too. I never had an issue with my phone on the charging mat triggering Apple Wallet, but after 39, it happens every time. Plus the Homelink oddities that were fine before, now are not. I may go out for a test drive to check once my update is done.

Yep. Everything’s still broken. Lol

edit: Still broken after a hard reset, then a soft reset and everything is back to normal. GPS, battery, everything. I had an Alfa before the Rivian but the Rivian is really giving finicky Italian vehicle.

You guys are on your *second* 2024.39.x? Damn, that's annoying. I'm still on 2024.35.0.

I get that Connect+ subscribers are supposed to get SW sooner, but these Halloween themes are *not* gated behind Connect+, and they're limited-time. Why am I still waiting for this? It would be nice to enjoy the Halloween themes for the full duration.

I understand the concept of rolling wave updates, but I don't understand why it takes days or even weeks for some users to receive an update. There are not that many Rivians on the road. It should not take this long to get an update!

New software 2024.39.31 for R1S Gen 2 was released today and takes about a hour to update. (Partial release notes below) Looks like they not only fixed the Halloween Costumes issues, but also a few other items after 2024.39.30.

Yeah, I'm not touching them. My R1S has been running great. Not risking it for a Halloween costume for it.

Took the plunge and tried out costumes after 2024.39.31. All three worked well and were super cool, especially in the dark! K.I.T.T was my favorite. They've really used the Gen2 lightbar to great effect. Fingers crossed that all the kinks have been worked out.
