Interesting topic: does Rivian have a new problem (a good problem).

Hopefully, Rivian already has plans in place to produce/supply its own batteries!

I think Rivian already has supply chain commitments to assure near term battery supply.

I also think it is not good timing to get directly in the battery game, with multiple companies close to commercial viability of improved battery technologies.

My prediction is one of two things:

1) Amazon invests in a company developing new battery tech

OR

2) Rivian leverages Ford's partnership & investment in Solid Power.

When you say, "Solid Power" are you referring to Solid State Batteries?

There's more than a few already proven & in production. It could be 3-5 before we see them in a mass produced vehicle though.
