I had a buddy go by the booth @ CES. Here are some pics, but nothing really new. They do show the blue color in various lighting though.

However, the Rivian rep that he spoke to said there will be additional announcements coming in 3 weeks. I'm guessing this means @ Fully Charged Live in Austin, so stay tuned!

He also said there was a ton of interest at the booth though & people EVERYWHERE.

Hopefully that's a good thing for Rivian, and those of us who have had preorders for awhile!

I was at the CES show yesterday and saw the Rivian R1T. It looked great and everything was perfect except the back seat. I would prefer the back seat can flip upward like the F150 so that my dogs (black lab) can sleep on the spacious cushioned floor rather than onto the back seat. I have preordered the R1T but not being able to have the back seat flip upward may be a deal breaker. Thanks!

Yeah, they appear to have opted for under seat storage bins instead.

Am I the only one wondering where cup holders are in the front of the truck?

They pull out of the front of the center console.

The abundance of storage space is great but interior design could have been done with more amenities and style for outdoor people like lots of cup holders and holder for thermos as well as seating and resting places for dogs!! What I saw was more for city driving.

R1S would be dog friendly without 3rd row or with 2nd and/or 3rd row folded flat. Makes me wonder if you could fold the 2nd row flat with the 3rd still up...I'd prefer to shove a couple kids far back & allow the dogs in between. ;)

I originally preordered the R1T, but since decided that I'll be going R1S instead.

Main reason I reserved an S instead of the T is because I need space for 2 large dogs. Though I wish there was room for them in the truck!

And where do you think most of the fleet miles will be logged?

I received a pre-purchase survey in maybe November. I emphasized dog transport in several categories - also looking forward to automation features.
