Doesn't seem like a full sized SUV so not a R1S direct competitor? But looks like a smaller SUV with Mustang inspired styling.

Pretty decent stats -- should get 300 miles range, 400+ horsepower, and be both AWD and RWD.

Different price segment for the Mach E which will be a smaller and less luxurious vehicle than the R1S. It's supposed to cost about $40k (before federal and local tax credits).

That’s kind of my point - a 40k ford might be enough for a lot of us versus a 70/80/90k Rivian.

Can we expect a Tesla like sales model where the 1st model available will be the $60K version? More BEVs in the market the better. I do assume they will be losing money in the beginning

Tesla did that to minimize losses and also because they knew they would have to ramp up production. Supposedly, Ford can build them as fast as they want so it may not matter for Ford.
