  1. AZ Rivians take over Sedona and Broken Arrow Trail

I believe in the appropriate terrain selector it automatically turns off the Hold/brake which I would have used for this, I do not recall a 100% at this time but I know I feathered the accelerator for a moment to straighten it out
  2. AZ Rivians take over Sedona and Broken Arrow Trail

I have done that (the staircase) down hill in my RIvian and LR4, the LR4 has also done the uphill section on the Left just after mushroom rock without issue. The RIvian struggled and I gave up on it. The LR4 has a rear locker that helped a lot, and the spinning tires of the Rivian in the same...
  3. Tested 35" tires on the R1T - for offroading / overlanding

I did that with my LR4, gets tiresome quickly, settled on 33" KO2s all the time for that as well.
  4. Tested 35" tires on the R1T - for offroading / overlanding

I have 285/65/20 BFG KO2s on my wheels. have had them for 8 months or so, do some offroading, accessing remote hiking trailheads, slight hit with range but have not experienced any rubbing. Not sure of the 295/65/20.
  5. Questions about Hotspot -- What band? Possible to force 2.4 ghZ?

Running into same problem with car fridge. Only works with 2.4 GHz not 5 GHz. Anyone know how to downgrade the hotspot to 2.4 GHz?
  6. Rally mode, gravel lot... Bad ending (tie rod)

your comments are compelling. My concern lies in which situation I find myself in when the rod bends or snaps. Will the tire angle and vehicle location on trail favor a replacement or not. So far I have used my LR4 which has been modified over the years and has handled AZ trails well. I have not...
  7. Rally mode, gravel lot... Bad ending (tie rod)

Agree with above. Would rather be able to limp back to trailhead and figure out the repair expense later, hopefully the difference between the failure point of the tie rod end and upstream stearing components is a fair bit and the sleeve mitigates a damaged tie rod without upstream failure...
  8. Full size spare on cross bars

Trying to figure out a way to mount a 20”full size spare on the roof cross bars on my R1S. I realize it’s heavy and cumbersome, real estate in the trunk is tight with my ARB fridge and myriad other items. I’m not inclined towards a swing tire mount. Any suggestions for mounting it on crossbars...
  9. Arizona WTB 20 AT Dark Spare Tire Group Buy Arizona Southern California

I thought about the dirtcom carrier but having done something similar and more on my LR4 I am reluctant. Still have the LR4. I may just strap it down in the back of the R1S if running an obscure trail, that itself is limited by range. Hoping to get a compact spare for daily city driving. yes...
  10. New R1S owner (former Model Y owner) in Flagstaff, AZ

Flag is a great town. I head up there a lot during the weekends in summer. Interested in seeing how the R1S does with a full charge after leaving PHX. -I have AT tires as well and may well swap them with BFG KO2s which I have on my LR4 as well, I realize that may decrease mileage even more esp...
  11. Compact Spare

Anyone know where I can get a compact spare for my recently delivered R1S? Do some offroading and feel safer with a spare. Have tire plugs and tireject in my kit. Not quite ready for a swing out fullsize carrier (dirtcom etc). Called the SC and guide and no luck. Any sponsors/vendors making one?
  12. Introducing RMaxx Running Boards & Rock Sliders for Rivian R1T / R1S from Team 1EV

EV Sportline, any recommendations for an installer in the Phoenix area?
  13. Running antenna cable into the cab

RonS, any progress? I see you're Phoenix based as well. I'm hoping to install a radio on my R1S. -KF7PVP
  14. Ham Radio mounts, installs

Reviving this thread. On my LR4 (also glass roofed) I had the antenna mounted on the hood, much like the FM radio antennas on vehicles in the 90s. Anyone mount a HAM radio yet?
  15. Tested 35" tires on the R1T - for offroading / overlanding

Picked my R1S last Friday. Quite like it. I've had an LR4 on which I put BFG KO2s 33.1" tires tho it required a heat gun and some banging, rolling. Reluctant to do that again. Rexbo, how are the 34.6 (285/65/20) working out now that you've put some miles on them? What rubbing issues? Esp offroad?
