Patreon is a platform used for fundraising, and Fully Charged uses it to provide early access to their content for subscribers.

Will anyone here have access?
I do. I subscribed in order to get discount on Fully Charged Live tickets, but I've really been enjoying their content & am happy to contribute a couple bucks a month.

Thanks for the info! BTW, here's a Tweet I came across today with some new photos. Officials from the Michigan Economic Development Corp.

Great video & some interesting tidbits. I was hoping for some never heard before news, but I guess that was wishful thinking.

Makes me incredibly excited to actually get behind the wheel of one of these though.

I messaged them via reply that they should have Chelsea follow up on their podcast, fullychargedregen. Eager to hear what she thought about the cabin interior quality, seat comfort, legroom, headroom, premium materials, screens, software, etc.

Breaking news: Clark Kent and Lois Lane reunite in the front seat of a Rivian R1T.

Kidding aside, definitely an interesting interview. Not a big deal for me but it sounded like the "tank turn" will not be available on the R1T or R1S but on a future Rivian model that has a shorter wheelbase. According to a Rivian team lead at the Normal event hinted that the next Rivian models will be smaller versions of the current EAVs presumably having a shorter wheel base.

I was thinking the same thing but I suspect her comments and opinions would be somewhat filtered for the same reasons why if you happened to notice in the video they didn't film more of the interior especially the center display. I suspect she and/or Fully Charged had to sign an NDA or come to some type of agreement to not film certain aspects as stipulated by Rivian.

First time poster - but have been following the forum for the past week. I just pre-ordered the R1S 2 days ago. Happy to join this community.

I actually found Chelsea on IG and we got to chatting.

Here is what she shared/I'm not including my questions but you can imagine what I was asking about:

Thank you! Luxury, etc., is probably in the eye of the beholder...and these weren’t exactly production vehicles, so grain of salt and all that. (Also why I didn’t focus lots on the exact materials in this visit. Was meant to be more behind-the-scenes/tech oriented, what they’re considering as they make their design and engineering decisions heading from concept to production, etc. )

But it feels appropriately premium. I happen to like the natural wood trim elements and such. It feels luxurious but clean. And the door cargo panels that are more heavy canvas netting with zippers vs leather trim, but they don’t seem cheap and fit the adventure character of the vehicle. Will reassess as they get closer to production, but hopefully that makes sense?
Totally agree, it should feel like what it costs. There definitely was a “hand built” quality to the ones I was in, because they sort of are- I wasn’t slamming doors or anything. So it’s really too early to reasonably judge these things for sure. But they’re very thoughtful so far in the balance of premium and practicality. Definitely more “Land Rover” luxury than Mercedes in aesthetic. The interior dash even reminds me of i3 a little in its clean simplicity. But seats were robust and comfy (to me), etc. And I like that they’re specifically gathering feedback at the reservation holder events and such.

Hope some people find this information useful.

Thank you.
