I looked at the exhibitor list the other day and did not see them listed, though they might be doing a last minute “reveal” like they did in LA, but I doubt it. I was kind of hoping for a Detroit showing as well, but we might have to wait a little longer.I assume Rivian will have a presence at the Detroit show coming up. Has anyone heard whether it will the R1T will be brought to every major auto show?
I plan to go to the NY show in April and hope to see it in person then.
Climbing gym?? Interesting. Im not on twitter. What did they say? Hope to see some pictures if media were invited.I looked at the exhibitor list the other day and did not see them listed, though they might be doing a last minute “reveal” like they did in LA, but I doubt it. Hopefully they will start announcing soon future shows soon. I did see via Twitter that they were going to be at a climbing gym in Detroit tonight but only for about 2 hours.
Darnit. I would think CES would be a good venue to show it. Hopes of seeing it in upcoming auto shows look slim now.No sign of Rivian at the ongoing CES show. Was hoping to see them display there since EV's fit right in at a technology show.
That is disappointing ... again! I was at the CAS 2019 back in February and no Rivian. I believe their last appearance was back in June for their private event in Denver which I was unfortunately unable to attend. It would seem they are due (he says hopefully) for announcing the next event they will be attending / hosting.I just checked the roster of exhibitors for the 2020 Chicago Auto Show in February, and Rivian is not on it. After having shown up at the New York Auto Show and with a nearby factory in Illinois, I was somewhat surprised to see Rivian skipping the Chicago show. Anyone know of a reason?
DIY using a heat gun or hair dryer. Some letters/badges are easier than others, but it should actually be easiest on a new vehicle. I'll leave mine alone, but I've removed badges on a number of cars.I assume one could always take a truck to a detailer and have them remove the lettering, but it would be nice to be able to avoid that step/process with a new car.
I doubt it’ll be an option in the configurator, but who knows. I plan to basically take mine straight from delivery to have tint and PPF installed, along with removing the large lettersI'm looking at the large "RIVIAN" lettering at the back of the tailgate— thinking it is too large and also a great magnet for dirt (and more difficult to detail). Appears to me that they are mimicking Range Rover badging. I'm wondering if it would be possible to order one's R1T or R1S without the "RIVIAN typeset" on the tailgate. Or maybe they could provide a more understated logo option into the rear window? I assume one could always take a truck to a detailer and have them remove the lettering, but it would be nice to be able to avoid that step/process with a new car. Looks cleaner without the type to me.....
I doubt if a new company that is trying to establish a brand identity is going to make its name on the vehicle a delete option.
Agreed to both points, and personally I don't mind the RIVIAN on the tailgate, but hope that they go the clean Tesla Model 3 route by leaving off the "R1T" and trim level badging.I hope to be proud to drive a Rivian.
