New Rivian R1 Software Introduction -- Roomy Entry and Exit

I'm guessing this means we'll start to see reports of the public release within the next 24 hours. I don't necessarily need the feature, but it is appreciated. My GX had it and I'd gotten very used to easy exit over the years.

I just got the update notification a couple minutes ago. Looks like it’s rolling out!

Someone had them from the employee release, I doubt they changed too much from the .0 release.

You can find those release notes here. Other than easy entry, it's mostly lots of small fixes.

Went out to the truck today after squeezing it into the garage to (re) set up wifi. As soon as I turned it on, new SW download started. It finished updating during dinner, so I’ll go check it out in a few minutes. Mostly minor fixes, plus the aforementioned ingress/egress setting.

BTW this is my first SW update on the truck, and I was pleased to see you can initiate the update from the app, where it then gives you status on % completion. Took under an hour.

Anyone else have “Not Available Until Serviced” on the roomy entry option following the update.

Seems some of them may have snuck out of the plant without seat calibrations, which are needed to make the memory settings work correctly it seems.

Nothing says America more than needing the steering wheel and seat to part ways to avail ingress and egress into your adventure vehicle.

I have some second degree embarrassment that they renamed Easy Entry "Roomy" Entry....can you imagine the brainstorming meeting on that one?

Other than that, this is the most vanilla update yet. Still no upgrade on the center display layouts (phone call control should be on the bottom left instead of all the way right). Artists and other Spotify lists still require left to right swiping forever.

Still no autofold mirror or open garage on home arrival. When RJ's Dad's idea of 'shift to neutral' button for car wash mode is the second paragraph on the OTA...you know we ain't gettin much.

As a relatively small human, I appreciate the feature in my Corvette. I have to sit closer to the wheel than most and it is easier to get in/out with a little more room between wheel and seat. You don't have to be American-sized for this to be a nice feature.
