Per Rivian:

With Kick Turn, we introduced a coaching system within the vehicle's UI to help drivers understand where and how to utilize the feature. We also developed guardrails that prevent the use of Kick Turn if the vehicle detects a terrain issue. Tread lightly and leave no trace remain important to our adventures!

a young man doing a doordash delivery tried an unsignaled uturn on a 6 lane overpass in March. my Rivian crushed his car. his insurance (@@@state) initially refused coverage because he was working and hadn’t purchased the extra coverag. . My insurance ((@hubb) dealt with everything, set up the repair at a shop that is authorized by them and by Rivian. $20k quote for repairs, but i think it was less, plus a rental car. The downside: 2 months because parts not available.
