Ha! Yes, what @Cycliste said. It pops up on the nav on the bottom left of the screen, just above the route settings and status.

In addition to the nav UI telling you it's preconditioning, you can always tell by using some regen braking and listening to the car sound like a blue whale calling for a mate. The motors get noticeably louder when regen braking during preconditioning.

There are restaurants nearby, but if you're talking middle of the night type of opportunities, I didn't see any.

It might be around 10p when I pass that location so might miss the restaurants too. Oh well

The L2 is a favorite Uber/Lyft spot due to its freeness. The Newish Bad Baker donut shop by there is da bomb. Got the Ham and cheese breakfast thingy, tasty
