That's not "many times" less
Ok maybe not many times less but it's starting to get there. It's a shame too since it would be nice to get more in rural areas. Nice that other companies are still building out chargers too instead of just relying on Tesla.

you consider 18 stations building them? Ionna is taking forever

Especially when you just build them next to tesla. Borderline useless

ionna claims 1000 stalls this year which is about 100 stations. Tesla builds that in less than 3 months

So? I’ll take 100 stations over 0. Tesla won’t be the only charging network.

I’m super happy knowing the West Melbourne, FL station is coming. If you tow a trailer out of southeast FL it’s in the perfect spot and it will have that trailer charging spot.

All of these rivian locations seem to be built next to an existing tesla supercharger

That seems about the most useless place to build them especially if you can't match pricing
Sure, building right where existing capacity is doesn’t help a _lot_, but it does help.

Around here at least all the RANs I have seen have at least one trailer friendly charger. Only one Tesla Supercharger location I’ve been to in this state _plus_ an adjoining state had a trailer friendly charger.

So we get more trailer friendly chargers.

Until Rivians actually have NACS ports we get more reliable chargers that don’t need an adaptor (hey! Mine hasn’t shipped yet!).

We get a handful of additional reliable chargers, and that is nothing to sneeze at.

Yeah, sure it would be great if they were more price competitatave. It would be great if they plugged charging holes as opposed to making the existing “charger rich” areas “more rich”. It would be great if they were really located in areas of surpassing natural beauty (although I’ll note the RAN in Lebanon, NH may be in a built up area, it is only 12 miles or so from Quechee!).
