As it turned out, that was too high, because it wasn't primed correctly and started to come off a week later as I was going in for the recall fix. I had it reapplied and now it's still taller than the glass but by a smaller margin. I am unofficially seeing about a 3-4 db difference in total noise (63-64 vs. 66-67 db at 70mph on AT), which may not seem like a ton, but that's the difference between a premium/luxury car and an old/budget one. Alternatively, it's about equivalent to the difference between driving 55-60 vs. 70 mph in the same vehicle. With that height, do you still get wind noise at higher speeds? I get a decent amount at 55mph+. Curious what that 5-7mm does.
