With that height, do you still get wind noise at higher speeds? I get a decent amount at 55mph+. Curious what that 5-7mm does.
As it turned out, that was too high, because it wasn't primed correctly and started to come off a week later as I was going in for the recall fix. I had it reapplied and now it's still taller than the glass but by a smaller margin. I am unofficially seeing about a 3-4 db difference in total noise (63-64 vs. 66-67 db at 70mph on AT), which may not seem like a ton, but that's the difference between a premium/luxury car and an old/budget one. Alternatively, it's about equivalent to the difference between driving 55-60 vs. 70 mph in the same vehicle.

My Model Y had a pretty decent sized gap between the windshield and glass roof which was creating wind noise. I installed a small diameter round gasket from one side of the windshield to the other which helped considerably. It was part of a "Wind Noise Reduction Kit" from RPM Tesla.. they still sell it. I wonder if it would help with the gap you guys have on some of your trucks?

I also have noticed some wind noise, but don’t perceive it as an issue. Checked decibel level with phone app and get a 72db reading at 75 mph interstate driving. Curious what decibel level other people are observing?
I used a phone db app to compare my R1T to my 2016 Jeep GC. While I had assumed my R1T would be louder because I perceive significant wind noise above 60mph, the R1T was actually quieter. Now I'm not sure what to do about it...

If you don't mind, what was your average reading at say, 65 mph?
