Curious why the stock price has been going up so much recently when the overall news for EVs isn’t that great these days? Is it just a rebound because of the pause in China tariffs?

Interesting. I’m positive about Rivians future but I can’t see anything particularly positive that would drive up the stock price this year.Wild speculation? A slow but steady trickle of people selling TSLA and buying RIVN for "reasons", coupled with a modest amount of good press (incl. SXSW, some of the latest truck reviews, SeekingAlpha, etc.). I spend a lot of time on other social media sites, and have seen the number of troll posts actually seems to be declining, as well. Make of that what you will.
Tbh I'm surprised the news that the DOE loan is in more jeopardy than was previously assumed, isn't tanking the stock today.![]()
Could be although not sure there is a trickle moving over given finance was cut. If even just a small fraction moved over then they would at have cut the estimate by 5000 units.Wild speculation? You gotta at least take a look at what is happening.Wild speculation? A slow but steady trickle of people selling TSLA and buying RIVN for "reasons", coupled with a modest amount of good press (incl. I’ve had a Tesla for 9 years but was never able to justify purchasing the stock. P/E was always above 250, not that high now but at 190 still crazy high. Also average 1 year target is below current price at 290.You gotta at least take a look at what is happening.
$TSLA up 5%+ today (~$16) with volume of 100M+ shares traded
$RIVN up 2% today (~$0.30) with volume of 26M+ shares traded
I don't think people are selling TSLA to buy RIVN
It's my understanding that craps has the best oddsI’ve had a Tesla for 9 years but was never able to justify purchasing the stock. P/E was always above 250, not that high now but at 190 still crazy high. Also average 1 year target is below current price at 290.
I’ll admit, I could have made a lot of cash but the same thing can be said of playing craps in Vegas.![]()

It's my understanding that craps has the best odds. I don't gamble so don't know how-to or have ever played craps
Having been investing in the stock market for the past dozen years actively, it's my belief that there is not a single metric to assess what I should or should not invest in. P/E ratio is one of them. Have to look at lots of different data and the business itself.
I always thought that blackjack has the best odds if you're playing correct basic strategy. I think the house advantage is under 1%Technically, roulette has the best odds: ~ 49%
This is assuming you bet on either red/black or odd/even, not an actual number.
My wife and I got married in Vegas a few years back. Lost our fortune playing "Fiesta Chihuahua". I think a whole $5. 0/10, do not recommend. Most of these games are like pushing a button and watch your money go away. Would have more fun flushing it down a toilet and watch it spin.I always thought that blackjack has the best odds if you're playing correct basic strategy.
