I guess you just recently placed your order. I have all my emails from Rivian, and they clearly state that end of 2019 should be the first deliveries of the 2020 models. Then it became early 2020, then Covid conveniently allowed them to delay till the end of 2020.
The Rivian Website does not mention 2022.
I'm pretty sure the web site doesn't mention anything with regard to model year, so what's your point? Date of production does not equate to the model year. Federal regulations allow manufacturers to sell vehicles for a given model year as early as January of the prior calendar year.
Interesting. Many forum members placed their pre-orders the very first day it was opened, and none have mentioned any mention of a 2019 delivery date being given.
This is a video of the day the vehicles came out from Stealth development. RJ clearly states at the end of the reveal that the vehicles will be delivered in the second half of 2020.
Out of curiousity, I went back and found the email I received when I made my reservation, which was the day the R1S was revealed (November 27, 2018). It states the following:

Yup I agree. I was told when I spoke to someone at Rivian, that they intend to start production in 2020, and that some early adopters might see their cars/trucks late in 2019. But most deliveries would be 2020. To sell vehicles, by presumably Jan 2020, they would have to have several vehicles already built in 2019 ready for delivery in 2020.
Funny, the Rivian press release dated 11/26/2018 explicitly states deliveries to start late 2020.
I am suggesting that Rivian most likely will launch with 2022 year models as for whatever baseless reason you seem convinced that Rivian will launch with 2021 models. You seemed to imply they would be 2021 models because deliveries start in June 2021? Frankly I don't get the point of this thread (although it is starting to stink of troll).
