I’m excited to see the Corvette E-Ray. Not a full on BEV but definitely a sign of things to come.

Ford is about to announce an updated Ranger pickup, including a Raptor version. This is already sold in other countries. Rumors also say the new Ranger will include a BEV version.

If they were to make a BEV Ranger Raptor, that might be the most comparable thing to the R1T. A lesser BEV Ranger, similar to the Lightning, might be a serious competitor for Rivian’s R2, especially if it hits the market first.

I also have a reservation on the Silverado but am currently frustrated by lack of any news on this truck. I’m sure once deliveries start that I will be as addicted to those review videos as I have been to the rivian.

but the one that I am most excited to see is the ram. Maybe I’m biased as I’ve had 3 rams already but to me this one has my interest really perked. Like on par with the rivian and I haven’t even seen what it looks like yet lol.
Alpha Superwolf look interesting. More of an off road but interesting to say the least

Oddly enough I’m most excited about the cyber truck. I can’t believe I just said that.
I ordered a Cybertruck on launch day, 11/19. I will probably stay with the Rivian, but won’t cancel my $100 place at the front of the line. I like having options.

BEV about size of S2000. Only need 150 mile range. 0-60 in 2.5 or less. Whoever makes something like this for less than 6 figures.
This would be cool, but as someone else said, it’s unlikely that it could be this fast if we want it to be (relatively) light and affordable. I will defer if someone smarter opines, but I believe that it’s not possible to get a lot of power from a smaller battery. So long range & big power go together, with the tradeoffs being weight and price. So to build a small, fun, affordable EV sports car, power & range would likely need to be sacrificed somewhat.

It’ll be interesting to see how Porsche handles this tradeoff with their BEV Boxster/Cayman. I suspect that they’ll opt for big power, range & weight, and work hard to hide the weight with active suspension tech. Porsche has the unique luxury of being able to charge what this sort of vehicle will cost. Others don’t, which is why I predict that if someone builds a cheap & fun EV, they’ll sacrifice battery & power, and I’ll be interested to see if this happens.

I believe that the Honda e is the closest thing to this that’s been built thus far. They are 150hp, 3,300 lbs, 0-62 in 8.3 sec, with 125 mile range. Doesn’t sound very fun. But the reviews say they’re a lot more fun than these numbers suggest.

I think this design is very polarizing but it looks freaking awesome to me

I'm intrigued to see the Mini Countryman type EV that's been forecasted. I assume it's on BMWs architecture so it should be pretty sound. It could be a good offer for a smaller family car with decent range in the $40k range.

We’ve had two Ford Focus BEV’s. Although they a heavy & slow econobox, they’re surprisingly fun to toss around in corners. Based on this experience, I have hope for cars like the Honda e.

Yes I too have cybertruck reservation…..it’s keeping my Rivian and Silverado EV reservation company. Which one I keep? 🤷‍♂️ I’ll also reserve a Ram when I can.
