AS I'm writing this, RIVN is at ~$110. It was down as low as $106. So anyone care to guess where the floor is on it? I bought 150 shares at $100 and got out when it dropped to $127. I really should have sold in the $170s but oh well. I'm looking to get back in at some point. I'm just trying to figure out where that point is.

Nobody can answer your question. As a startup Rivian has a lot to prove even to justify its current valuation and I would expect more downside pressures. But how low is anybody's guess.

I am staying away until insiders are able to sell. We should get a true feeling of the supply/demand for shares at that point.

When does that date hit?
I want to say it was 90 or 120 days but I couldn't quickly find it in the S1. Others may remember

I bought at 126 AND 150. When it peaked I sold the 150 shares but held on to the 126. Losing in the short run. If they can get production in first quarter of next year I think it will stabilize and climb up some. It came on at 76? who really knows butit may well go back to that

At this point, I'd be in at $48. Rivian will have to step up their game before I raise that number.

Floor is the same as for all equities, zero. It's foolish to try and predict performance for a company with no earnings or track record of performance. Anyone who claims to know is full of ____.

I bough the IPO at $78 which was higher than it should have been. I thought the earlier $54 target was more realistic.

The IPO buyers have to wait 93 days before they can sell so none of the current fluctuations bother me.

Until they start delivering a lot of cars, the stock is insanely overvalued and only boosted by hype.

This is really the only correct answer.

Well, they have a factory that someone could buy and a lot of cash on hand. The cash is burning with operations, but still. They could be revealed as a Nikola style fraud today and it would still be worth $15-$20B, or around $20/share or so.

Before stock falls on the lock period expiration, I'd expect some bump after the first quarterly earnings. Most likely they'll show how the beat their production estimate and more pre-orders. Anyway, that's just my guess. Nothing is certain in current stock market.
