Since the Dark wheels are not an option for the Launch Edition, I wanted to gauge what others think about the available combinations.

Has anybody, or can someone post image of LE R1T with "dark" 20 AT wheels photoshopped?

I assume you are really asking for Launch Green and not LE? All the other colors can be viewed in the configurator with the dark wheel options.

I originally spec’ed the 22” Sport then later switched to the 20” AT and recently switched back to the 22” Sport.

OK so I have configured the 20" with AT but depending on the final mileage on the tire combos I may change I do not want to lose 10% of the range but I really don't like the 21" for multiple reasons. Tire Size of 21" may not be as common and I like the yellow brake caliper's showing thru and the 21's don't show as well.

I’d be surprised if the difference was that high. It’s going to be based more on the tires than the rim size, so within 30k miles you’ll be replacing them anyhow - and you can either go OEM or go with something different. You’ll have far more options for the 20” vs. 21”. I’d say go with the wheels you like better.

I’m going with the 20” for sure, and when time comes to replace tires (or perhaps earlier depending on how the Pirelli’s perform in snow), I may elect to go with something that gets me even worse WhH/mi such as KO2’s or Duratracs.

Sounds very familiar. I may purchase a second set. one for my day to day use, and a second set for planned off road.

Honestly all the options are kind of bad. They should have an 18 inch option. The 21 and 22 inch options will look ridiculous and 20s are borderline.

🤔 Why is "The Most Roundest Wheels", not an option?

Happy Almost-Release Year!

Happy New Year!

We are now in the release year!!!

I wish I took better pics from Overland West 2019 and the SF 2020 event. Thought I would share these pics... I originally picked the 22” in my current reservation. But leaning towards the 20”.
someone on this forum said that there are inserts on the 21” that you can take out, and taking a closer look it appears that it could be true....

So now I am more on the fence of which one to pick.

21”

@Lmirafuente your top pic is of the 20" being offered on the R1T which is different from the 20" being offered on the R1S (although the styles have been used interchangeably in various Rivian pics over time - edit: I also just noticed the newly offered 20" dark wheel is the same for both R1S and R1T and of the same style as your 3rd pic). The 21" wheel has not appeared at any of the events to date.

EDIT: here's the 21" with and without insert
