I'm sure the vehicles will have a web browser with which you will be able to bring up any weather site just as you can on PC or smartphone. What is really useful in a vehicle on a trip is the windspeed and direction resolved into head/tail and crosswind components. There are services that collect this data from airports, marinas, the coast huard, private weather stations... and make it available over the net. If you take hundreds of these reports they are free but if you take millions there is a fee so if Rivian's mother ship gets this data and parses it out to the vehicles it will cost you something but if the car queries the system using a browser it will not so I'm guessing that if this data it will have to be through a web connection. Search Teslawinds and hope he extends his service to Rivian.
Of course the problem with this is that in remote areas there will be no cell phone coverage and thus none of this data will be available.
